GALACTIC COWBOYS-LONG WAY BACK TO THE MOON (2LP)

The Texans Galactic Cowboys have always been a musical enigma. The band merged melodies with progressive metal and created a musical genre of its own. Combining this musical genre with a peculiar sense of humor, the band quickly distinguished itself from any other band in the world, conquering fans among the biggest stars of the song.
One year after the formation, in the early 1990s, the Cowboys Galactic signed the David Geffen Company as the "Next Big Thing" with an unprecedented contract. Geffen already had "Current Big Thing"; the Guns n 'Roses, but, sensing (correctly) the end of the band's cycle, Geffen held on to the Galactic Cowboys until the sales of "Use Your Illusion" subsided and prepared the Cowboys for mega-stardom.
They quickly became regular on MTV, where they had two rotating videos simultaneously, and everything was going according to plan. But culturally, "Generation X" came of age, and with it came a whole new musical culture. Realizing this change, David Geffen sought a band equivalent to the Galactic Cowboys in this new genre, for both share the vanguard. This band was called Nirvana.
Geffen released "Nevermind" alongside the Cowboys debut album and let fate determine how music would evolve in the 1990s. At the forefront of an American cultural transformation, grunge wiped out the metal realm and Galactic Cowboys, the future biggest band in the world before they even started.
Undaunted, the Cowboys released a series of highly acclaimed albums. The Cowboys' most notable fan base was formed by other musicians - an exclusive club that included other 90's musical misanthropes such as Medusa, King's X and Kevin Gilbert. Reflecting the musicianship and diversity of the band, the Galactic Cowboys were touring primarily with two song legends, Anthrax and Dream Theater, showing all the versatility of the Cowboys.
17 years ago they were the right band at the wrong time. This time they hit the "timing" and return almost 2 decades later with the initial training.
