Os Gentle Giant foram uma das grandes bandas de rock progressivo da década de 1970. Os seus três primeiros álbuns, “Giant”, “Acquiring The Taste” e “Three Friends” são clássicos do rock progressivo, embora algumas das gravações originais em multipistas infelizmente se tenham perdido para sempre.
As nove faixas com multipistas originais serviram de base para Steven Wilson, que fez um fantástico trabalho de remasterização de alta qualidade áudio neste álbum.
